Vladimir Safatle, Professor of Philosophy at the USP (Brazil), is one of Brazil’s most important intellectuals working in the fields of continental philosophy, critical theory, psychoanalysis, political theory and musical aesthetics. He is the author of over a dozen ground breaking books, and numerous articles. He also writes a weekly column for the Folha. He will give a presentation, in English, about the the political and social situation in contemporary Brazil.
