"Hamlet and Segismundo: A Performance for Four Voices–Reflections on Ground Zero."

Giannina Braschi, a Puerto Rican writer living in New York, is a poet, novelist, and performance artist. She is especially know for her bi-lingual texts and for her reconfigurations of the spaces and voices of the metropolitan city. Among her books, Empire of Dreams (Yale University Press, 1994) and Yo-Yo Boing (Latin American Literary Review, 1998). Her new work, "Hamlet and Segismundo," is a series of dramatic dialogues about the crisis of democracy after September 11.
