We encourage the submission of papers on any field of Hispanic and Lusophone Literatures, Linguistics, or Cultural Production, such as Theater, Music, and Cinema. Papers my be presented in Spanish, Portuguese, or English, and may deal with any of the fields mentioned, as well as other languages of the Hispanic and Lusophone world. Papers on underrepresented fields are particularly welcomed.
We hope to provide a forum that encourages students of Hispanic and Lusophone languages around the world to engage in scholarly dialogue about issues relevant to our areas of study.
Abstracts may be individual or collective. Individual presentations must not exceed 20 minutes (7-8 pages maximum), and panels should be limited to one hour. Please submit an abstract of 300-500 words by email spp_conf@berkeley.edu no later than December 20, 2006.
The email should include your name, institutional affiliation, address, phone number, and the title of your work. The abstract should be sent as an attachment with no personal information other than the title of the paper. Participants will be notified of acceptance by February 1, 2007.
